Funeral services for Hamilton Barton, Jr. will be held on Monday, March 31st at 10a.m. at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Marksville with Father Joseph Desimone officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Barton, age 91, of Marksville passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Sampson Barton, his son, Matthew Barton, and parents, Hamilton Barton, Sr. and Viola Whittington Greenhouse and 3 siblings.
Those left to cherish his memory are daughters: Gail (Carl) Harvey of Marksville, Patricia Barton of Baton Rouge, Elaine Barton of Baton Rouge, Regina (Terry) Cobb of Lakeland, Florida, Craig (Stephanie) Barton of Los Angeles, CA and Charlene (Ron) Cook of Flower Mound, TX; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
