Hannah Virilli Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice on Feb. 9, 2026.
Hannah M. Virilli, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29th, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and a smile that truly lit up every room she entered.

Born on December 16, 1933, in Chester, Pennsylvania, Hannah was the beloved daughter of Edith and Irwin P. Booth. She grew up in Riverton, New Jersey, and later moved to Florence, New Jersey.

Hannah devoted 25 years of her professional life to Princeton University, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Athletics Department. She was deeply respected by coaches, administrators, and the many student-athletes she supported. Her dedication, exceptional organization, and genuine care for others made her an invaluable member of the team.

After retiring, Hannah moved to Venice, Florida, where her joyful personality found new ways to shine. For nearly nine years, she worked part-time at the Venice YMCA, warmly greeting members and guests and making everyone feel welcome the moment they walked through the door. She also volunteered her time at the Venice Theatre and the Englewood Elks.

A deeply faithful Christian, Hannah was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice. Her faith was a quiet but steady presence in her life, reflected in the compassion, grace, and generosity she extended to others.

Hannah was also known for her impeccable sense of style. She took pride in her appearance and was rarely seen without her hair perfectly done, her jewelry thoughtfully chosen, and her makeup just right-always presenting herself with elegance and confidence.

Hannah is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Virilli) Deiter, and son-in-law, Kevin Deiter, of Venice, Florida. She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Virilli.

Above all, Hannah will be remembered for her radiant smile, her gentle kindness, and the way she made people feel seen and valued. She was truly a bright light, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced soon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Hannah's honor to Tidewell Hospice of Venice or the Venice YMCA Summer Camp Scholarship Fund.
