Harinder Singh Batra, 65, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Born on March 19, 1959, in New Delhi, India, Harinder lived a life marked by selfless service, compassion, and love for those around him.
Throughout his life, Harinder dedicated himself to helping others, volunteering his time, and giving generously to those in need. He worked as an Uber driver for most of his life, touching countless lives with his kind heart and uplifting spirit.
Harinder's personal interests reflected his gentle and giving nature. He loved visiting the temple, volunteering, and contributing to charities. He found joy in bird watching, trying new foods, and spending quiet evenings watching TV.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vineet Batra, and his devoted daughter, Sukrit Batra. He is also remembered fondly by his siblings: brothers Daljeet Singh and Baljit Singh, sisters Tripat Kaur and Harjit Kaur, and their spouses Paramjit Kaur, Kavleen Singh, Ajit Singh, and Sobha Singh.
A funeral service will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, located at 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250. Details about the service will be shared with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Harinder's honor to a charity of your choice that supports pulmonary fibrosis research or helps those in need, reflecting his lifelong dedication to giving back.
