Hello family and dear friends. It is with tremendous sadness that we inform you that our beloved mom, also known affectionately as Mommy, Biji, or Harjinder, has passed on to the next step of her journey.
While she fought a very tough and long battle until the very last second, which is remarkable at her age, we believe the unfathomable loss of Daddy's passing only two short months ago, was far too great a burden for her to bear. Mommy had known Daddy for over seven decades, loved him profoundly, and missed him.
Mommy was the strength and matriarch of our family, not merely for us, but our close friends as well. Her fierce nature to protect all those she loved was undeniable, as was her incredible work ethic and fortitude. Mommy was cautiously optimistic, or what one would construe as realistic, and this realism kept her sharp, as she had a keen eye for reading people and situations. Thankfully, she passed these necessary genetics for survival to her eight beautiful grandchildren: Darby, Nina, Nicky, William, Emily, Sonia, Karina and Daniel.
She will be missed for lifetimes to come. However, we take solace in knowing that we had all an incredible, wonderous, and magical journey together for decades under her watch, which will continue as part of her long-lasting legacy.
