Harlan Martin Gibson

Harlan Martin Gibson, age 81, of East Bernard passed away peacefully at his residence on October 4, 2024.
Harlan was born in Waller to the late George and Rosetta Gibson. On October 12, 1964, he began a 59-year commitment when he married Shirley Darlene Henderson. Harlan was in the steel building industry for 59 years. He loved tinkering and fixing things, reading, watching his beloved Astros and being with his family.
Harlan is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter, Cassandra Jones and husband, Bart of The Woodlands, son, Don Gibson of The Woodlands, daughter, Stephanie Orsak and husband, Pat of East Bernard, daughter, Carol Bronikowski and husband, Jeff of Waller, daughter, Alisha Cunningham and husband, Jon of Arlington, brother, David Gibson and wife, Jody Gibson and numerous grandchildren, Audra Jones and spouse, Shay, Lindsey Oakley and spouse David, Elise Jeter and spouse, Jordon, Shannon Bronikowski, Mishelle Bronikowski, Tyler Cunningham, Colby Cunningham and Nate Gibson, great grandchildren, Braylen Morgan, Paxton Jeter.
Harlan was a longtime patient in the care of Angels Home Health and a sincere thank you to the employees of Angels Hospice of Bay City for their love and care for Harlan at his end of life. Your care and compassion meant so much to us in this difficult time.
The funeral services to honor Harlan will be on Monday, Ocotber 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in East Bernard, Tx. Serving as pallbearers are Audra Jones, Lindsey Oakley, Elise Jeter, Shannon Bronikowski, Mishelle Bronikowski, Tyler Cunningham, Colby Cunningham, Nate Gibson and Devyn Orsak.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Astros in Action Foundation or The Arthritis Foundation, Inc.
Funeral services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at whartonfuneralhome.com
