MONTICELLO - Harlean Swing, 85, of Monticello, died at 9:09 p.m. Thursday (May 15, 2025) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, 215 E. Washington St., Monticello.

I worked for Harlean at the late lamented Robeson's Department Store in Champaign. One of the best people I ever worked for. Incredible joie de vivre and sense of humor. Never forgotten her, and it's been 48 years since I left Champaign! Sympathies to her family. May her memory be a blessing.
