Markus Lee Swing

Markus Lee Swing passed from this life on August 1, 2025, at the age of 69.

Markus was a dedicated and skilled self-employed A/C and electrical commercial technician, proudly serving restaurants and businesses throughout the tri-county area for over 42 years. Known for his strong work ethic and deep knowledge of his trade, he built lasting relations with clients and friends alike.

Outside of work, Markus had a passion for trains, coin collecting, classic muscle cars, NASCAR, a lover of food, family and holiday gatherings. He also actively participated in Boy Scouts and produced 2 Eagle Scouts, reflecting his love for community and mentorship.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, unique sense of humor, and care he showed for others around him.

Markus is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Michelle Swing; his children, Maggie (Madhav) Saxena, Matthew, Michael, Cody, (Sarah) Swing; and his grandchildren, Noah Saxena and Natalie Swing. He is also survived by his siblings: David Swing; Richard (Dawn) Swing; and Brian (Karen) Swing as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Mack and Marguerite Swing and sister-in-law Kathryn Swing.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Rosary at 10:30 AM. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, with a graveside service at 12:30 PM at Jessamine Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
