Harlon "Chuck" Holdbrooks, 79, of Carrollton, passed away at his home surrounded by his wife Catherine/Kitty and his daughter Sallie on Saturday, August 30, 2025. He was born on June 18, 1946, the son of the late Joseph Ervie Holdbrooks and the late Minnie Sally Sims Holdbrooks.
Chuck loved his family dearly and loved to spend time with them. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and attending Bike Week. He especially liked the Tail of the Dragon. He will not only be missed by his family but also his beloved pet Dachshund Oscar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Dewayne Holdbrooks; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dallas Gene Holdbrooks, Jerry Dean Davis (Wade), Betty Ruth Hayes (Bill), brothers and sister-in-law, Trance Edward Holdbrooks (Mary Ann) and Buck Holdbrooks.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Catherine May Doxey Holdbrooks; children, Jane Elizabeth Jones, Timothy Chuck Holdbrooks, Angela Denise Griffin, Sharon Michelle Boccio (fiancé Ike), Lorrie Dawn Rhind, and Sallie Mae Erwin (husband Kerry); sister-in-law, Lois Holdbrooks; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
