Bernice Janell Moore, 88, of Villa Rica, passed away at home surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was born on July 27, 1937, the daughter of the late Paul and Ruby Adams.
Bernice, a devoted matriarch, embodied the values of love, generosity, and faith throughout her lifetime. Family meant the world to her along with the church. She was well known for her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a generous soul who approached every relationship with a caring spirit that touched the lives of many. Bernice was always supporting those around her. Her contributions extended far beyond the family, Bernice was also very involved in her church community, where she found great joy and purpose.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Manning Moore; children, Dallas Clyde Moore and Curtis Dewitt Moore; brother, Curtis Adams; sisters, Catholine Woody and Elizabeth Fulmer.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in law, Karen Richards of Villa Rica, Wanda Young of Stockbridge, Donna and Robert Moore of Temple, and Mary Perry of Villa Rica; sixty-two grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Villa Rica Church of Christ, with a funeral service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Patrick Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
As we remember Bernice Janell Moore, we celebrate a life filled with love and compassion-a life that will continue to inspire all who had the honor of calling her family and friend.
