He was retired from the City of Atlanta.
He is survived by his sons; David Tallant and his wife Patricia, Keith Tallant and his wife Nancy; grandchildren: Megan Tallant, Kyle Tallant, Spencer Rich, Amelia Tallant, Barrett Tallant; great-grandchildren: Emory Boyd, Skylar Boyd, McKenzie Boyd; sisters: Joyce Geck and her husband Ronnie; sisters-in-law: Polly Tallant and Denise Tallant; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Jean Nash Tallant; sister: Jewel Faye; brothers: Billy Tallant, Jerry Tallant, and James Tallant.
According to his wishes he was cremated. Services will be planned at a later date.
