Bobby Adair

Bobby Wayne Adair, 93, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away quietly at his home, on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was born on May 13, 1932, the son of the late Lemons Dorsey Adair and the late Eunice Ellis Adair.
A man of deep faith, Bob was a godly man who cherished his church and church family. His love for his faith was evident in all aspects of his life, guiding his interactions and relationships.
Bob exemplified what it meant to live a life of service, dedication, and passion. Bob's career as a fireman was marked by his commitment to his community. Beyond his duties at the fire station, he was affectionately nicknamed "Chef Bob RD" by his co-workers because he took great pleasure in cooking and sharing good food with his colleagues.
Bob had an appreciation for the outdoors, finding joy in the simple pleasures of nature. He loved observing birds, animals, and flowers. He was also very artistic, having painted a mural at Fire Station 6 in Atlanta,
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Myron D. Adair and Calvin A. Adair; brother, Harold Adair; sister, Martha Langston.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Blair Adair; daughter, Janie Hehir (Herbert) of Denver, North Carolina; son, Chris Adair (Valerie) of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren, Jody Adair (Tammy), Kellie Williams (Ron), Ryan Hehir (Karen), Mindy Sperling (Brandon), Dakota Adair (Maggie), Leah Adair, and Christen Adair; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. He will lie in state from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 12:00 PM at New Georgia Baptist Church on Thursday, August 21, 2025 with Dr. Keith Stell officiating. Interment will follow at New Georgia Baptist Church Cemetery.
