Harold Eugene "Jack" Atchley, 83, of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was born in Russell County, KY on September 18, 1942, to the late John and Nettie Grider Atchley. He was preceded in death by his wife Lora Lynn Huff Atchley.

Mr. Atchley attended the Freedom Church of God and was a hard-working farmer that instilled those qualities in his three daughters. When not farming he enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his three daughters Melissa Bryant, Melinda Knight (Brad Hatcher), and Michelle Withers (Mikey); four grandchildren Colton Barr (Chaley), Brady Bryant, Bailey Bryant, and Hudson Leigh; four siblings Shirley Reliford, Claude Atchley, Emma Sullivan, and Brenda Veatch (Herbert) and several friends and other relatives.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a brother Obie Atchley, a sister Dolene Hoover and a granddaughter Kaylan Bryant.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, December 29, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am on Monday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Scott Allen will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Colton Barr, Brady Bryant, Bailey Bryant, Mikey Withers, Brad Hatcher, and Terry Dudley.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
