Harold Cammack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by St. John's Family Funeral Home & Crematory on Feb. 13, 2026.
Harold Lee Cammack Sr passed into the arms of his God with family embracing him on January 29th, 2026, free from the many challenges of Alzheimer's disease in his final years. Harold was born in Bangor, Maine to Walter Cammack and Dorothy McGinley Cammack. He was predeceased by his siter Ginny Sayko (George), Joyce MacDonald (Fred), Helen Abbott (Mike), and Berneice Turcotte (Turk). He leaves his wife Judeth Paige Cammack, his son Harold Cammack Jr, stepsons Ralph and David Bartholmew and grandchildren Julia and Max Bartholmew. He also leaves his former wife Linda Morris Cammack.

Harold's life was filled with much laughter and love, gentle joking and teasing his many loyal friends and family. His motto "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you" was paramount in living "ONE DAY AT A TIME".

Harold graduated from John Baptist High School in 1965. He enlisted in the US Army and was sent to the jungles of Vietnam. After receiving the Purple Heart, he returned to Maine and joined the Bangor Police Department, serving until his retirement, after which he worked in the Federal Courts of Bangor. In all of his endeavors, Harold's kindness and generosity are what we all recall. Sadness is overwhelmed by gratitude to have been able to be his friend.

A mass and celebration of Harold's life will be held in late Spring in Bangor, Maine at St. Johns Catholic Church. All are welcomed.
