MSgt. Harold Clark Laudato

December 6, 1944 – September 27, 2023

Harold “Clark” Laudato, 78, fought a valiant battle with a sudden illness and in the end his body was just worn out and he passed peacefully. Clark passed away on September 27, 2023, in Rock Springs, WY, with his family at his side. Clark was born on December 6, 1944, in Schenectady, New York to Sylvester William “Bill” Laudato and Esther Male Laudato.

Clark was married to Tamra Ann Mutti on June 10, 1966, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. They celebrated 50 years of marriage with most of their family present in Island Park, Idaho.    Shortly after their anniversary Tamra passed. Clark and Tamra have two children: Sheila Ann Laudato (Mitchell) and Michael William Laudato.

Clark retired from the United States Air Force, during which he was stationed at Hill Air Force Base for 25 of his 26 years of service. After Clark retired from the military he worked as a contractor at Hill Air Force Base. Clark also retired from the US Coastguard Auxiliary.

One of dad’s great joys and passion, was to coach and watch hockey. He coached many teams throughout the years and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada with the hockey team and their families.

Clark enjoyed friends and family, boating, fishing, reading, and watching his favorite television shows!  Dad also loved being a volunteer during Spring Training for the Padres and Mariners at the Peoria Sports Center, in Peoria, Arizona.  His favorite place was our home in Manila, Utah (Flaming Gorge) where he loved spending time with family and friends.

After retirement, Clark and Tamra spent their time between Manila, Utah and Sun City, Arizona. Dad loved the mild winters of Sun City and all the facilities it had to offer them.  He has great friends and neighbors in both Manila and Sun City.

Clark married Mary O’Leary, his lifelong friend, on April 15, 2023, in Sun City Arizona.  Although they only had a few short months as a married couple, they lived life to the fullest.  Dad was able to take Mary up to Flaming Gorge were they both enjoyed spending time with the family, and most of all, the grand kids and great grandkids.  Memories cherished.

Clark is survived by his wife, Mary Laudato of Sun City, AZ; daughter Sheila (Mark) Mitchell of Riverside, UT; son Michael (Jody) Laudato of West Haven, UT; brother William Kent Laudato of Penrose, CO; sister Sandra Gail Anderson of Niskayuna, NY; brother-in-law Arnold (Debbie) Mutti; step son; Elwyn Burt of Republic, MO; step daughter Tona (Bob) Bowen of Cabool, MO; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews throughout the United States.

Clark was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Tamra, sister-in-law Linda and his special loving dog Charlie Brown.

A Celebration of life will be held at Flaming Gorge, Manila Utah during the summer of 2024.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to Dr. Hoffman, Matt (dad’s nurse), many other nurses and staff at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, Rock Springs, Wyoming.  Their compassion for dad and the family will never be forgotten.
