I was attached to Navy Recruiting Command Hawaii (twice my only shore command) 1978-1980, and again 1987-1989. In Hawaii.
Harold was a mentor for me. He was a recruiter many years before me. He gave me inspirational pointers and showed me the way to recruit quality for the Navy we both loved.
At both times Harold was attached to the Navy League of Honolulu. His support to us field recruiters was invaluable in so many ways from allowing us to get into the Hawaiian public and private schools to talk with counselors and centers of in support to school counselors....
Harold was an inspiration to all 25 Navy Recruiters in Hawaii.
I am so proud to had a chance to work and learn from Harold and very proud to have been a Master Chief Petty Officer and call him brother!!
