Harold E. Fulford of Carrollton passed on Sunday October 12, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born in Wrightsville, Georgia on November 2, 1947 to John Columbus and Emma Jane Fulford, Harold along with his 3 brothers (Denzil, Ray and Don), were raised in a small house where they and their parents existed on farming and other work. After graduating from High School, Harold joined the Air Force and relocated to Patrick Air Force Base in Florida.
After the Air Force Harold moved to Jacksonville Florida and started a roofing company. Harold joined his brother Ray at Ra-Lin & Associates in 1977. Together they would expand the company in the West Georgia area. Soon afterward Harold's brother Don came to Carrollton and joined him and Ray to form Brothers Builders Supply. The brothers jointly ran the business successfully for the next 20 years.
Harold and Beverly started West Georgia Roofing in March of 1977. He had local support from the Carrollton community and matched that with a determination to succeed over the next 25 years. West Georgia Roofing became one of the top roofing contractors in Georgia. West Georgia Roofing would enjoy great success and national recognition from suppliers and customers alike. During this time, Harold quickly became known for his work ethic, integrity, honesty and compassion.
Harolds compassion followed him to his last day. This was known to individuals, families and organizations alike. First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Caney Head Baptist Church, American Red Cross, Berry College, Co-Op Extension (4H), Sheriff Youth Ranch Organizations, Boys & Girls Club (Cobb County), Day Camps for Children, College Students, Storm Victims, Underprivileged Children and multiple families without running water saw and felt his love. According to his family and friends, this was his greatest character trait and achievement.
Harold and his wife Beverly are devoted members of First Baptist Church, Carrollton Georgia and have attended and served for 48 years. They celebrated their 52 years of marriage in July.
He is survived by wife, Beverly Fulford; his son Todd Skinner and wife Linda, grandson Cam, granddaughter Ellen and husband Sam Raines, son Tim Robinson and wife Rachel, granddaughters Elyse, Madeline and grandson Frank; sisters-in-law, Linda Fulford, Sharon Fulford and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Denzil Fulford, Ray Fulford and Don Fulford.
The family will receive friends in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 11 am until 1 pm. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 pm in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with Dr. David Hughes officiating and Mr. Herb Smith giving the eulogy.
Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens with Minister Allen Howard officiating.
Pallbearers will be Todd Skinner, Tim Robinson, Sam Raines, Cam Skinner, Ben Garrett and Josh Chapman. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Cole, Curt Geibieg, Gene Fulford, James Fulford, Eric Brown, Jeff Fricks, Jim Jabat, William Smith, Brian McLeod, Sam Price, Mark Brooks, Wil Garrett, Jack Garrett, Griffin Fricks, Jay Chapman, Field Chapman, Brice Yen.
