Harold Greene Obituary
Mr. Greene was born August 7, 1937, in Madison, Indiana, the son of Harold C. and Linda M. Jenkins Greene.
He married Loretta M. Shafer December 24, 1963.
Mr. Greene retired from Arvin Industries in 1995 after 38 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving with the Military Police.
A member of Bible Church of Columbus, Camon Masonic Lodge #343 in Hope, Murat Shriners in Indianapolis and Bartholomew County, Knights Templar and York Rite.
He enjoyed traveling to his hometown of Madison and bird watching.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years; daughters, Gail D. (William) Alkire of New Harmony and Cleata B. Greene of North Vernon; grandchildren, Rachel Greene and Hunter Alkire; and his twin sisters, Vickey (Mario) Gutana and Mickey (Dave) Sporledor both of Columbus.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. to time of service Tuesday.
He will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery with military honors presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
