Harold Hull Obituary

Harold Leroy Hull Jr. died peacefully in his home on November 10, 2025.

He was born September 11, 1933 in South Kingstown, RI by his mother Emily Wright Hull and Harold Leroy Hull Sr. His father died of cancer in 1938 so he was primarily raised by his mother. This was during the depression so you imagine how difficult life must have been for the two of them. His mother was able to find work as a live-in nanny and they were able to live there for many years.

When he was a teenager, he met his beloved wife Helen Grace Arnold. In the Summer of 1951 he joined the navy and served honorably during the time of The Korean War. Also during this time, he married his beloved Helen on December 25th, 1951 and they were married for over 73 years. She survives him.

Besides his wife, Harold is survived by his sons Dennis Eugene Hull, Harold Leroy Hull III along with many grand children and great grand children. Harold was predeceased by daughter Emily Wright Dudley (2010) and granddaughters Jennifer Dudley (1998) and Kimberly(Dudley) Everet (2025). Another daughter, Deborah Luberto Also died unexpectedly just two days after Harold had passed.

Harold was the consummate businessman. He started his own business in 1967 manufacturing braided rugs and ran that for 50 years. If that wasn't enough, he also ran a family restaurant and later an ice cream parlor.

Harold was a loving and devoted husband, an extremely hard worker, great provider for his family and an overall outstanding human being who will be sadly missed by his entire family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 at the Doughtery Brothers Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd. Plainfield,Ct. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to Wounded Warriors.
