Harold Johnson

Harold Johnson, 89 of Jackson, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Harold was raised in Ridgewood, where he spent much of his early life. He later made his home in Saddle Brook, where he devoted himself to his family, and eventually resided in Jackson.

Harold built a long and dedicated career as a chemist with Penick Corporation, in Lyndhurst where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his profession. Above all else, Harold cherished his family and valued the life he built with them.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne (née Garra); his daughter, Jessica Johnson, and her husband, Nick Di Domenico; Harold's brother, Mark Johnson DDS, and Mark's wife, Suzanne. He was predeceased by his sister, Anita D. Johnson.

Family will receive friends and relatives for a Memorial Gathering on February 7, 2026 from 12 - 3 p.m. with a Funeral Service to be offered at 2:30 p.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove. Memories and condolences may be shared on shookscedargrove.com.
