Harold Julian Brown Jr., 82, a resident of Overland Park, KS, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019. He was born September 21, 1936 to Harold and Lizzie (Hodson) Brown in Beecher, WI. Even though he was an only child, he spent most of his childhood with many cousins.
Harold was united in marriage to Suzanne Burgener on May 18, 1963. He worked at General Standard (Major Brands) liquor warehouse for 27 years before retiring in 2001. Harold enjoyed collecting coins, watching sports, playing pool, playing with his fur babies, and having family and friends over for a BBQ. He attended Country Club Methodist in Kansas City, MO.
Survivors include his wife, Suzi of Overland Park, KS; children, Douglas Earl Brown of Pleasant Hill, MO, and Jeanette Elizabeth (Beth) Brown of Kansas City, MO; grandson, Samuel Douglas Michael Brown; three granddaughters: Amanda Allen, Ariel Hollingsworth and Andrea Allen; and great-granddaughter, Ava Leigh Michelle Brown. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lizzie Brown.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, service 11 AM, with reception following, on Saturday, January 26, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS.
