Harold James Lovett was born April 8th, 1965, to Larry and Beverly Lovett, in
Taft, California. He was the youngest of 4 children. Harold is preceded in death by his Father, Larry Lovett, and his oldest sister, Melodie Lovett (Martin). He is survived by his Mother, Beverly Lovett, Brother, Dean Lovett, and Sister, Raelynn Lovett. Harold is also survived by his wife, Charla Carter-Lovett, and his 2 sons, Hunter and Colton Lovett. His 2 daughters, Vanessa Fancher(Johnson) and Samantha Fancher.
His Uncle Dennis Lovett, also known as uncle (Rabbit). Cousins Becky and Jason Lovett.
Aunt Wanda Long, cousins: Mark and Tammy Mason, and many more 2nd cousins, and nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Harold lived in New Cuyama most of his life. He went to Cuyama Elementary and graduated from Cuyama High School in 1983. He played sports and he was good at it. He liked to ride his motorcycle in the back alley. He was always challenging his buddies to a race.
Harold was a fun-loving child. He smiled all the time and told lots of jokes. He would do anything for anybody. He had a heart of gold.
In high school, he became one of the four horsemen. The group included Harold Lovett, Mark Given, Darryl Low, and Russell Fancher. To this day, the four horsemen are still friends. Except for Harold. He left the group to go home to be with the Lord.
Harold worked for a short time at the Arco oil field in Cuyama. When he had enough of that job. He went to work at Dave's glass shop for the Rosen family. He was there for 17 years.
Then he met Charla in 1999 and got married at the Taft Moose Lodge on July 2nd, 2000. They moved to Creston, California, in 2001.
He worked for Templeton Glass Shop, Port San Luis, launching boats in Avila Beach, and Kia in Paso Robles, California.
Harold loved horse racing, NASCAR, football, fishing, golf, basketball, and gambling. Harold started having health problems in 2013 with his liver. (He received a transplant in 2015.
July and August 2024, he started having strokes. Had 2 surgeries to fix that. Along with his diabetes, anti-rejection medication, high blood pressure, and contrast dye. Those things tanked his kidneys, and he ended up on dialysis from April of 2024 to March of 2025. Harold passed peacefully in his sleep on March 29th, 2025 Harold put up a good fight and fought with all his strength to the very end. He will be missed forever by his family and friends and all who knew him.
