Harold B. "Cap" Means, Jr., 92, of 339 East Jamestown Road, Greenville, West Salem, PA, formerly of 18 Quarry Hill Rd., Hempfield twp., passed away peacefully with his daughters at his side at 3:52 am on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at St. Paul's Senior Living Community in Greenville, PA.

He was born in Greenville, PA, on November 22, 1932, to the late Harold B and Katherine (Baer) Means.

Cap was the owner of the Corner Pharmacy in Greenville for over twenty years. He was a member of many professional organizations. He was Past Master of Eureka Lodge 290 Free and Accepted Masons, and a Lifetime member of Greenville VFW. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Greenville where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and was a lay leader at the annual conference for many years.

He served as a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, playing his ukulele and tonette, singing in a barbershop quartet, and was an avid Steelers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his McDonald's coffee friend group in the mornings and attended many events at the Senior Center in Greenville, PA.

He was married to the former Virginia A. (Artman) Means on January 2, 1953, and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2021.

Cap is survived by his two daughters, Jamie (John) Wilson of Burgettstown, PA, Kathryn McGinty of Pikesville, MD; two sisters, Janet ( Milo) Belich of Germantown, MD, Nancy Simon of Austintown, OH; five grandsons, Benjamin McGinty of Baltimore, MD, Joshua McGinty of Baltimore, MD, Adam McGinty of Baltimore, MD, James Eric Wilson and John Curtis Wilson of Georgetown, PA; granddaughter, Kalyn McGinty of Baltimore, MD; two great-grandchildren, Jackson McGinty and Jameson McGinty; Brother-In-Law, Don Eakman of Greenville, PA, and sister-in-law, Darlene Artman of Greenville, PA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Wilma Means and step-brother, Jack Wishart and several in-laws.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm in Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville with Masonic Funeral Rites during visitation.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Calvary United Methodist Church, Inc., 44 South Mercer St., Greenville.

Funeral Service will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, Inc., 44 South Mercer St., Greenville, at 11:00 am on Friday, September 5, 2025, with Rev. Sally Bell officiating.

Burial with Military Honors will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Stevenson Cemetery, Greenville, PA.
