Harold G Meitl

Harold G. Meitl, 89, of Glen Ellyn. Beloved husband of Janice (Kubal) Meitl for 62 years; loving father of Kathryn (Michael) Stewart, Elizabeth (Gerard) Pertile, Gretchen and Joellen; proud grandfather o: Alexa Stewart, Megan Pertile, Alexander (Peter) and Matthew Pertile; dear son of the late John and Bertha Metil; brother of the late Genevieve Campbell, Sylvester, Gerald, Ernest, Elmer, Walter, Fr. Roger and Jackie Kenney; uncle of many nieces & nephews.

Harold worked for International Harvester for 25 years as an engineer in research and development and earned 12 patents. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a trustee of the Tri-State Fire department for many years. Harold volunteered many years at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Darien, IL. Harold and Janice retired to Green Valley, AZ, where he enjoyed rock hunting and making jewelry.
