Harold Peritz, 82 of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 10th. Harold is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn (nee Ketchel) to whom he was married for 60 years, daughter Julie (Gary) Nitzkin, grandchildren Rachel (Jonathon) Silverberg and Jonah Nitzkin (fiancée Madison Sabbath) and great-granddaughter, Neallie Silverberg. Harold was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Beatrice and Leonard Peritz and younger brother to Judy Trotsky. He graduated high school from Mumford HS. He served his country from 1959 to 1962 as a member of the United States Army.
Harold was the quintessential salesman, who took great pride in his work. He made an art of listening to his clients and instead of selling them what he thought they needed, he rather provided for them what they wanted. Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved his family fiercely and devoted his life to their wellbeing and happiness. He was a lifelong member of Masonic Lodge, both in Michigan and in Florida. He especially enjoyed the ritual and the language of Freemasonry. He was a twice Past Master and dedicated his time and efforts in all aspects of the lodge. Hs brothers and their cause were his philanthropic passion that he cared for deeply. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm with a committal to follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens.
Rabbi Raphael Adler will officiate.
