Mr. Harold D. Perry, 73, passed away Friday afternoon, June 13, 2008, at the St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness.

A native of Coffee County, he had lived in Waycross for several years before moving to Pierce County thirty-five years ago. Mr. Perry retired in 1986 from Harvey’s where he had worked as a meatcutter. He was a US Air Force veteran and was a member of the Southgate Baptist Church. Mr. Perry was a son of the late Charles Edward & Lois Mae Evans Perry.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Jean Goodman Perry of Blackshear; a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Michelle & Gene Moore of Waycross; two grandchildren, Emily Moore and Hunter Moore both of Waycross; a step-son, Rickey Hughes of Hazelhurst; a step-granddaughter, Brittany Hughes of Baxley; a brother, Bill Perry of Augusta; his mother-in-law, Thera Lee Hearn of Hazelhurst and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Perry will be held Monday afternoon, June 16, 2008 at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

Interment will be in the Waters Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Perry will be held Sunday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
