Aletha Todd, age 88 of Blackshear passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice Satilla. The Wayne County native had lived in Jesup most of her life before moving to Blackshear 8 years ago. Aletha was a seamstress working for Manhattan Industries, Parks Manufacturing and Barber Company. She loved taking care of her family and spending time with them.
Aletha was a member of Hoboken Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Todd; her daughter, Frances Anderson; her siblings, Clyde, Eackman, Leonard, Mark, and Ronald Thompson, Ann McReady and Bobbie Linto.
She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Mary and Richard Crocker, Gail and Alvin Dixon and Barbara Yocum; her siblings, Lillian Harris, Vonnie Massey, and Jerry Thompson; 10 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Hoboken Baptist Church with the funeral services to follow at 2:00pm with the Bro. Ben Glosson officiating. Graveside service will be at 4:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Steve Crocker officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Scott, James Anderson, Carson Anderson, AJ Dixon, Lane Dixon, Jimmy Anderson.
Memorials may be given to Hospice Satilla.
Glennville Funeral Home has the honor to serve the Todd family.
