Harold Pittman Obituary

Gaffney - Harold Eugene "Buck" Pittman, 78, of 1125 Burnt Gin Rd, passed away on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, at the Upstate Community Hospice House surrounded by his family.

Born in Union, he was the son of the late Robert Odell and Annie Mae Burgess Pittman. Buck formerly worked as a carpenter for over 30 years before working as a custodian at Luther Vaughan Elementary School and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Surviving Mr. Pittman are a son, Shane Pittman (Leslie); a sister, Shirley Carson; his grandchildren: Derek Burns (Alyssa), Michael Pittman, Haley Pittman, Dylan Burns (Emily), Morgan Pittman, Malachi Pittman, and Jackson Pittman; and his great-grandchildren, Pthalo and Charlotte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Buck was a selfless family man. He was a versatile craftsman and very mechanically minded. He loved animals, nature and being outdoors. He loved to photograph his family as can be seen by the vast amounts of albums he kept close. He enjoyed recalling stories of riding his Harleys, adventures with cousins, and houses he built. He especially loved conversation.

Visitation and funeral service were held February 20th, 2026 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and a private interment was held at the Pittman Family Cemetery.
