Harold Raincloud Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Northern Peace Funeral Home Inc on Dec. 5, 2025.
Harold Wayne Raincloud, Sr., age 65, of Ponemah, Minnesota was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, from Jourdain Perpich Nursing Home in Red Lake, MN. He was born to Carmella and Daniel Raincloud, Jr. on Wednesday, February 17th, 1960, in Red Lake, MN.

Harold grew up in Ponemah, attending Ponemah Elementary and later Red Lake High School. He was the catcher for his little league team, during the summers of his childhood years. He carried with the homeruns he would hit.

He left school and later achieved his G.E.D while in the Job Corp in 1979-1980. While he was there, he completed his certification as an electrician, plumber, furnace and appliance engineering. Harold worked for Red Lake Housing 1982-1992 and then began driving for Red Lake Comp Health Transportation in 1994, spending the next 26 years making sure people got where they needed to go. During his break in employment, he became a commercial fisherman. Harold loved to fish, both rod but especially net, and hunting with his brothers, where he was always fully prepared. He also enjoyed going to the casino, loved driving around with Dosh and was an avid Vikings and Twins fan.

Harold had so much love and care for everyone he knew. His compassion and kind spirit were his greatest gifts. He was truly a brave, brave warrior.

Family that Harold is reunited with are his son; Daniel Raincloud, special friend and mother of his children, Belva Rose Cloud, parents; Carmella and Daniel, grandfather; Daniel Raincloud, Sr., grandmothers; Madeline Raincloud and Sybil Stillday, uncles; Albert Raincloud, George Stillday, Eugene Stillday, Sr., and Charles Bugg, aunties, Ona Kingbird, Violet Patterson, Ethel Johnson, and Angeline Northbird.

Those left behind to forever cherish his memory are his children; Harold Jr. and Jerri Lynn Raincloud, grandchildren; Isaac and Braylon Raincloud, and Mason White, siblings; Roberta and Arlen, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

An overnight wake for Harold will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional services on Wednesday, December 10th all being held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN.
