Harold Lee Reynolds, age 80 of Gainesville passed away on August 5, 2025 at Baxter Health in Mtn Home, AR. He was born on April 29, 1945 to Archie K and Jewel E (Owens) Reynolds in
Gainesville, MO. He grew up down Center Point Rd on the family farm. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1963, and started working in the warehouse at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, MO. After a night of bowling in Mtn Home and chatting up the lady in the lane next to them; Imogene Roane, he returned home and married her daughter Mary Ann Roane in Mtn Home, AR on November 30, 1963; subsequently celebrating 61 wedded years together. They returned to the Kansas City metro and eventually established residence in Independence, MO. They resided in Independence and Harold continued to work for Hallmark for 8 years until they returned to Gainesville to begin farming their new property in 1971 where they made their permanent residence west of Gainesville.
Harold loved farming and running his tractors and working his cattle. He loved nature, including hunting and observing wildlife and he loved animals. He had a multitude of pets over the years of his life including rabbits, cats, dogs and donkeys.
He helped his mother Jewel, and his in-laws Robert and Imogene Roane with their farms. Harold would perform custom hay and bush hogging work for a number of years. He had many clients over the years who had come to count on his services throughout the area in Mtn Home, Pontiac and Gainesville.
He was a faithful Christian throughout his life attending the Gainesville Church of Christ where he previously served as a Deacon. He endeavored to live a life of faith serving his family, friends and neighbors while nurturing his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Reynolds, his daughter Kelly (Chris) Lemburg of
Gainesville, MO his son Daniel (Michael) Reynolds of Fairway, KS, his grandsons Heath (Stephanie) Maddox and their daughter Alyssa of
Gainesville, MO, his grandson Kyle (Kayleigh) Maddox of Mtn Home, AR, and his sister Eileen Plemones of Strafford, MO, three nephews and a niece, multiple great nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Archie and Jewel Reynolds and his brother Charles Reynolds.
Harold always maintained positive relationships with his family. His uncle Willard was a character he could always laugh and joke with; they liked to prank one another. When his brother Charles returned home, they worked together for several years doing custom hay work and helping each other with their cattle. They could always count on one another for help. His cousins Larry and Bobbie were his playmates and schoolmates growing up, who he could always count on to argue about which one of them was the oldest. He lived for a summer during high school with his sister Eileen; who helped him get a job at Joyland in Wichita, KS.
Harold will be deeply missed by his friends and neighbors but most especially by his family. Harold could always be counted to prevail with a cool head and provide good counsel to his family or anyone willing to ask.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Gainesville Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harold's memory to the Paragould Children's Home or a
charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home,
