Harold Thomas Riddle, Sr, 89, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at his residence.
Harold was born in Spartanburg, the son of the late Charlie Riddle and the late Grace Cochran. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Lipsey Riddle; a son: Harold Thomas Riddle, Jr; and a brother: Johnny Riddle.
Harold was a lifelong resident of Spartanburg and a graduate of Spartanburg High School. He was a retired inspector with Michelin Tire Company. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish Harold’s many memories are his son: Chuck Riddle; three grandchildren: Haley Brooke Riddle, Harold “Trey” Thomas Riddle III (Kimberly), and Richard Trent Riddle; three precious great grandchildren: Harold “Hank” Riddle IV, Carson Riddle, and Renzo Riddle; his sister: Shirley Welborn (Bob). Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A visitation will be held between 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service to honor the life of Harold Thomas Riddle, Sr will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Slatton officiating.
The arrangements are entrusted into the care of Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
