Valley Falls, Rensselaer County
Harold Robbins, Jr. of Master Street passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his sister's home in Schaghticoke, surrounded by loving family. He was 64.
Born in Pequannock, NJ on February 7, 1961, son of the late Harold and Virginia (Elston) Robbins, Sr.
Harold worked in Maintenance for the County Inn & Suites of Albany. He loved his job and was an exceptional woodworker and craftsman. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. He liked being in nature, spending time fishing and going for car rides that often turned into adventures. He was always one for conversation and his laid back, easy going nature will be sorely missed.
Survivors include his siblings, Lorraine Robbins (Joseph Capozzelli) of Schaghticoke, Shirley Mackay of Warwick, and Diane (John) Pereira of West Milford, NJ, his nephew Andrew Robbins (Kaitlyn Sears) of East Greenbush and his nieces Jennifer (Steven) Reilley of Wayne, NJ and Michelle Dilts of West Milford, NJ and his brother-in-law George Dilts of Cape Coral, FL. He is the great uncle of Ethan and Carter, Gina and Brianna and Victoria, his Goddaughter. Also survived by extended family.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Lillian Dilts and his brother-in-law Ronald Mackay.
Visiting will be from 12 noon – 1:30pm on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. A service will be held at 1:30 in the funeral home with burial to follow in the spring at Freybush Cemetery.
