Harold Rowden Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Null & Son Funeral Home on Jan. 23, 2026.
Harold "Chuck" James Rowden, age 88, of Dixon, Missouri, was born on December 20, 1937, in Brinktown, Missouri, a son of the late James "Floyd" Rowden and Minnie Ellen (Bremer) Rowden. He passed away on January 22, 2026, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior after a long and faithful life.

Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Rowden; his daughter, Loretta Ann (Rowden) Ginnings; his parents, James "Floyd" and Minnie Rowden; and his brothers, Richard Bland Rowden and Earl Zane Rowden.

Chuck was united in marriage to Mary Ann Humphrey on June 30, 1956. They shared nearly 57 years of marriage until her passing on June 28, 2013. To this union, three children were born: Larry, Darlane, and Loretta.

Chuck owned and operated his own concrete and excavating business for most of his life. Through hard work and dedication, he provided for his family by working in concrete and excavation of homes, land, lakes, and other projects. His strong work ethic was passed down, as his son later followed him into the concrete business.

An avid outdoorsman, Chuck loved hunting, especially elk hunting in Colorado with family and friends. Above all, however, he loved Jesus and his family. He was deeply involved in his church, serving as a Sunday School teacher and, at times, filling in to preach and teach the Word of God.

Chuck will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, which includes: his children, Larry Rowden and wife Beth, and Darlane and husband Darrell Burnett, all of Dixon, Missouri; his son-in-law, Frank Ginnings of Lebanon, Missouri; his grandchildren, Heather (Rowden) Weed and husband Jason, Lacy (Rowden) Casey and husband Dustin, and Aaron James "AJ" Burnett; his great-grandchildren, Clayton Allen, Jentry Allen, Ayden Casey, Zackary Allen, and Kylee Casey; his brother, Robert "Bob" Rowden; and many other family members and friends.

A funeral service for Harold "Chuck" J. Rowden will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at the Lighthouse Worship Center in Dixon. Interment will follow in the Dixon City Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.
