Harold Alan Slaton passed away on June 17, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Laurie Slaton, and his beloved daughters Britany (Nathan) Rusch and Catrina (Howard) Williams.
He was blessed with many grandchildren: Chloe, Bryson, Avery, Alice, Jack, Benjamin, Chloe F., Scarlett, Clara, Clifford, and Azleigh.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Slaton; his sister, Deborah; and two of his daughters, Crystal and Taylor.
Harold was a spirited man who had a passion for fishing and racing. He would spend hours by the water and often gave his catch to families in need. He was also a successful drag racer, known for winning many grudge races. His beloved car, The Green Booger, will continue to race with its new driver-keeping Harold's memory alive on the track. Harold also leaves behind his dog Boudreaux his beloved four legged friend. Anywhere Harold went boudreaux was sure to follow.
He was a devoted and loving husband who cherished his wife. Harold loved cracking jokes, singing songs, and making up his own lyrics. He had a special talent for turning frowns upside down-whether through silly dances, funny faces, or simply being a listening ear and offering heartfelt advice.
The family asks for continued prayers during this time of healing. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
