Harold R. Smith, age 81, of Gallatin, TN (formerly of Westmoreland), passed away January 25, 2025. He was born to the late Arlis and Minnie "Lola" Dyer Smith on October 15, 1943 in Westmoreland, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie (Dorothy) Butcher.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Precilla Ann Haskins Smith; his daughters, Penny (Jonathan) Gray, Candace (David) Woodard, and Cindy (Tyler) Mathews; his grandchildren, Patrick (Beth) Gray, Philip (Amanda) Gray, Nathan (Mattie Mae) Woodard, Seth Woodard, Ethan Mathews and Anna Mathews; his great grandchildren, Lily Gray, Henry Gray, Olivia Gray, Waylon Woodard and Mollie Woodard.
Mr. Smith was retired from Peterbilt after many years of service. He was a member of Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be conducted on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 at 1PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Pastor David Woodard and Bro. Steve Johns officiating. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jonathan Gray, Tyler Mathews, Patrick Gray, Philip Gray, Nathan Woodard, Seth Woodard, Ethan Mathews and Anna Mathews. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 28th from 4PM till 8PM and again on Wednesday, January 29th from 9AM till service time at 1PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
Flowers are welcome but you may choose to make a memorial donation to Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one.
