Funeral 2:00PM, Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Steven L. Lyons Funeral Home, 1515 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh. Visitation, 1:30PM to 2:00PM prior to the service. Public Viewing, Saturday, December 20,2025 12:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Survivors: wife, Patricia W. Smith; 1st wife and caretaker, Geneva Smith, children, Chadwick Jones, Kelvin Runo (Esther), Tony Burnette and his wife, Jimmy Burnette and his wife and Kim Burnette; sisters, Lessie M. Smith-Fleming (Joseph), Lessie Bell Smith-Watson (Donald) and Bernice Smith Burch (Odell); brothers, Glenn Smith (Daisy) and James A. Smith; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
