Harold "Duke" Snyder, 80, of Owatonna, MN, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, surrounded by family. He was born on March 15, 1945, in Faribault, MN, to Russell and Hannah (Matthies) Snyder. Harold grew up in Faribault, attended local schools, and graduated from Faribault High School with the Class of 1963.

On May 22, 1965, Harold married Barbara Berg, and together they shared a loving marriage of 60 years. He worked as a home builder and took pride in constructing many homes throughout the area, focusing on quality and paying attention to detail. In his free time, he was a car enthusiast, restoring four classic vehicles back to beautiful condition, attending car shows, winning some awards and making "car guy" friends along the way. Playing card games with family and friends was a favorite pastime. In later years, watching game shows or westerns with his dog on his lap was enjoyable, as well. He served in the Army Reserves earning an honorable discharge in 1971.

Harold is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Dawn (Ron) Skala and Dan (Patty) Snyder; grandchildren, Derek (Kayla) Skala, Chantel (Ben) Staska, Christian Snyder, Cooper Snyder; great-grandchildren, Brooks Skala and Riley Skala. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Hannah Snyder; and his son-in-law, Ron Skala.

Memorial visitation will be held at Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd, Owatonna) on Friday August 22, 2025, from 12 PM to 3 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery for immediate family.
