Harold Wallace

1933 - 2021

Harold Ace Wallace, of Delmont, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, from complications from dementia. He was born Sept. 28. 1933, in New York City, N.Y. He was able to celebrate his 87th birthday with his family. Harold married the love of his life, Veronica Moffa, who celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this past October. Harold was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Anna Wallace; his mother, Martha Lopeck; a brother, Steven Lopeck; his sister, Susan Miller; and his beautiful daughter, Stephanie Fire. He is survived by his wife, Veronica; and five children, Maureen Wallace, of Lancaster, Harold Wallace Jr., of Delmont, Richard (Lisa) Wallace, of Apollo, Rhonda Wallace, of Latrobe, and Charles (Kristen) Wallace, of Melbourne, Fla. Harold was a proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Harold served in the Navy during the Korean War and enjoyed playing baseball throughout his life. He retired from the United Parcel Service. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports; he was their biggest fan. The family would like to thank Hempfield Manor and the wonderful staff from Three Rivers Hospice agency for the wonderful care they provided. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Harold from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John Baptist de La Salle Church, Delmont. Everyone please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Keeping with CDC guidelines, those attending the viewing and funeral are required to wear face masks. Because of current social distancing restrictions, only 35 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time.
