Harold William Waltemath
Harold William Waltemath, age 83, of Wyeville, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born on September 27, 1940 to Harold and Blanche (Peterson) Waltemath. He was united in marriage to Rose Roddel on September 15, 1962 in Shennington, WI.
Harold was a dedicated employee for Cutler Cranberry for over 57 years, even after his retirement. He was a hero, a volunteer fireman for Cutler Fire Department, and an avid fisherman and deerhunter. He was also the best bullshitter you could meet. He and his brother were also professional singers, and even had songs on Cow 97.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Waltemath; his daughter, Debbie (Jerry) Elcock; grandchildren, Danielle (Rodney) Calhoun, Derik (Megan) Atkins; great-grandchildren: Bailey Calhoun, Kathleen (Austin Lesher) Calhoun, Brighton Calhoun, Braedon Calhoun, and Landon Calhoun, and Lillian Atkins and Wyatt Atkins; along with his brothers, Don (Rene) Waltemath, and Marty Waltemath; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Strohmeyer and Patricia Abbott. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Todd Waltemath; and sister-in-law, Mary Waltemath.
A Private Burial will be held at a later date at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Shennington. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com.
