Harold Dean Wann, 88, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at his home.

Harold was born on April 9, 1937, in Marquette, KS, the son of Amos Victor and Avis Vivian (Kimble) Wann. He graduated from Marquette High School in 1955. On July 17, 1959, Harold was united in marriage to Nettie Delphine Peterson in McPherson.

He retired from the NCRA Refinery, where he dedicated 32 years of service as an insulator and pump house operator.

Harold was a longtime and faithful member of Countryside Covenant Church. He took great pride in his love of bowling, earning a place in the McPherson Starlite Bowling Hall of Fame and holding numerous state and local records, achievements that reflected both his skill and his dedication to the sport. Harold enjoyed camping and fishing at the Marion Reservoir, and cherished his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 66 years, Nettie of the home; children, Tom (Darcy) Wann of McPherson, KS, Sonya (Russ) Morse of McPherson, KS, Wendy Wann of Clearwater, FL, Wanda (John) Charland of Lebanon, TN, and Vicki Sullivan of Moundridge, KS; sisters, Jean (Bob) Chestnut of McPherson, KS and Vivian (Harold) Jay of Holdenville, OK; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy Wann, Lucas (Kailyn) Wann, Jasmine Reed, Ryan Morse, Tyler Morse, Brett (Montana) Hartzell, Carman Charland, J.C. Charland, Justin Charland, Ashlynn (Cody) Hanna, and Aerial (Michael) Coppola; 13 great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Wann; sister, Coleen Wann; and grandson, Austin Rhoads.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 23, 2026, at Countryside Covenant Church with Rev. Jon Black officiating. A private graveside service will be held at the McPherson Cemetery.
