Harriet Amdur

Harriet Joy Berg Amdur (Halper), lovingly known as "Bubs," peacefully passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 90. Born October 30, 1935, in St. Paul, Minnesota, she was the beloved matriarch and the light of her family.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Harvey David Amdur; her parents, Morris and Rose Berg; and her siblings, Robert, Marilyn, and Merle.

Harriet is survived by her children, David, Cheryl (Isadore) Saide, and Rose (John) Amdur Marron; grandchildren, Sarah Saide, Rebecca Saide, Amy (Jared) Zachman, Katie (Jeremy) Netka, Leah Marron, Carly Marron, Max (Emily) Marron, and Michael Green; and great-grandchildren, Harper, Henry, Hudson, and Isla. Later in life, Harriet shared a beautiful partnership with Richard Picquet. Together they brought each other companionship, laughter, and deep love, finding joy in the special moments together.

Harriet dedicated her life to teaching and caring for children as a Montessori Director. She loved guiding the next generation with patience, warmth, and encouragement. She also served as First Vice President of the Sisterhood at Adath Jeshurun Congregation, celebrating Jewish traditions and sharing her love of Yiddish with her children and grandchildren.

Harriet had a love for fashion; elegant and always perfectly dressed. Her style reflected her spirit and vibrant personality, leaving a memorable impression on everyone she met.

To her family, she was simply "Bubs," the heart of every gathering and the light of their lives. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel loved, supported, and welcomed.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sholom Hospice and the caregivers at Roitenberg Assisted Living. They also wish to thank Rabbi Shalom Resnick-Bell for his kindness, spiritual guidance, and the meaningful connection he shared with Harriet.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 13th at 1:30 PM at Temple of Aaron Cemetery, 1690 Dale Street, Roseville, MN.

In keeping with Jewish tradition, Shiva will be observed Friday at 4:30 PM and Saturday at 7:30 PM at Knollwood Place Apartments, 3630 Phillips Parkway, St. Louis Park, MN 55426.
