Harriet J. (Hattie) Ryan was born in Kansas City, MO on September 17,1962 to Mary Frances (Slater) and Clarence Edwin Ryan Jr. For the first few years of her life, Hattie lived in Kansas City. MO with her family. At the age of three they moved to Montrose, MO. As a child, Hattie was baptized at First Baptist Church - Appleton City. She was a 1981 graduate of Montrose High School and went on to briefly attend Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO.
After moving to Clinton, MO in 1997 following her father's death, Hattie worked at various jobs, most notably working on the assembly line at Rival Manufacturing. She also worked as a CNA at Joy Adult Care where she retired in 2016.
She was an enthusiastic member of the Golden Valley Quilt Guild and enjoyed Quilting, Embroidery, and various other crafts. She was also an avid Harry Potter fan. As a member of Northeast Baptist Church, she enjoyed attending their adult VBS.
On February 28, 2025 Hattie passed away peacefully at Adair Village Clinton, MO where she had been living. Hattie was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her sister Mary Edna Ryan of Clinton, MO and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 5:00 to 6:30 pm at First Baptist Church, 1531 N. Vansant Rd, Clinton, MO. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Montrose Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Clinton Animal Shelter in Clinton, MO
