Harriet Salyers

Circleville Harriet Ellen (Hall) Salyers, 85, of Circleville passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025 at Pickaway Manor following a brief illness. Harriet was born on January 28, 1940, the daughter of Margaret and Gerald Hall. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Louie, in 2019. She is survived by sons Rusty (Debbie) Salyers of TX and Randy (Maritza) Salyers, of FL; daughters Susan (Ted) Oberley of Lancaster, Joni (Dean) Huston of Circleville, and Lori (Mark) Bidwell of Circleville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Scott Salyers, Abbie (Ken) Grubb, Jamie (Jesse) Bowens, Katie (Zack) Linder, Amber (John) Guffey, Macy (Esme) Huston, and Tricia Bidwell; two great-grandchildren Tony Grubb and Juniper Guffey; and her very special cat Sammie. She is survived by sisters June Taylor and Carolyn Hall. In addition to her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by sister Patricia (Peach) Simmons and brother William (Bill) Hall. She attended Delaware High School. She worked at Hallmark in Circleville for many years and ran Harriet's Gift Shop in Circleville for 8 years. Harriet enjoyed traveling, country music, and especially spending time with family. She looked forward to Fridays when their kids and grandkids gathered at the house for a weekly family night. She is remembered by many family friends for providing a welcoming space to gather for Pumpkin Show. Funeral service for Harriet was held at noon on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Wellman Funeral home in Circleville. Burial was in Forest Cemetery.
