Harrison Jestice Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lescher Millsap Funeral Service, LLC - Muskogee on Dec. 24, 2024.
Harrison K. Jestice, 89, passed away at his home in Muskogee, OK, on Saturday, December 21, 2024. He was born on Saturday, January 19, 1935, in Porter, OK, to William H. and Emmaline (King) Jestice. In 1941, his family moved to Porum, Oklahoma.
Harrison proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. On May 3, 1972, he married Willie Huda, the love of his life, and became a cherished member of her family. They shared 43 wonderful years of marriage until Willie's passing in 2015.
Harrison was a long-time member of Timothy Baptist Church. He worked as a Storeroom Clerk/Agent at Muskogee General Hospital for 28 years before retiring in December 1993. Retirement didn't slow him down; he enjoyed working as a security guard for several years and pursued his passion for ham radio, holding a license since 1992.
He is survived by his three daughters Kathy Rhodes (Roy), Carolyn Holland, and Mary Downing; grandchildren Ryan Rhodes (Brashille), Amanda Brown (Blake), Alan Holland (Donna), Cheryl Green (Kelly), Diana Mashburn (Greg), and DaRhonda Clabaugh (Seth); great-grandchildren Ava and Rhett Rhodes, Mia Brown (expected January 2025), Josh, Michael, and Katey Holland, Brody and Taylor Green, Matthew (Morgan) and Mary Dawn Clabaugh; and great-great-grandson Coleman Green.
Harrison was preceded in death by his wife Willie Jestice; son Leon Hayes; sons-in-law Chuck Downing and Ronal Holland; brother Allen Jestice; sisters Alberta Page, Cleo Coursey, Freda Ward, Ellen Skaggs, Lillie Smith, and Roxie Perry; and his parents William H. and Emmaline Jestice.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Jen and Justin with Complete Hospice for their incredible patience and tenderness in caring for Harrison. Your compassionate care made it possible for him to remain in his home, which meant the world to him and his loved ones.
