'But Jesus said, "suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto Me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven."'
Matthew 19:14
On July 11, 2019, HARRISON THOMAS III was welcomed into the world by his parents, Amy and Harrison Thomas, Jr. As the first and only son born into a family of two girls, he was affectionately called "H3" or "3." H3's debut was as loud and impactful as his infectious laugh and sweet, strong voice that immediately changed a home once filled with all things bows and baby dolls.
He was a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in
Fort Worth, Texas, where he faithfully served as a junior usher on the second Sunday of each month. Although small in stature, Harrison's love for God was grand and evident in his eagerness to volunteer to lead prayer on Wednesday nights during Children's Bible Study. He was serious about his membership in the youth team and a specular reflection of the answered prayers of his parents-to be a warrior for Christ.
His love for trucks and hunting was immensely impacted by his daddy's influence and love for the sport. His ambition was aimlessly immense and his confidence was inimitable. He was all boy and could recognize every monster truck and its features of which others may not even have a clue. He loved the color blue and would never turn away the offer of any kind of ice cream. He
was an expert on which of his sisters' buttons to push to get them to scream his name in their highest octave.
Harrison III had an infectious personality that complimented the bright minds and big hearts of all at Poynter Elementary School in
Fort Worth, Texas. He was a first grade student and eager to learn every vowel and master every skill that would make him the best at whatever he wanted to do in his future.
While our hearts grieve his untimely transition from this world on January 2, 2026, we rejoice because we believe God's Word to be true, and that we will see H3's beaming smile again one day.
Yet already awaiting him in heaven is his grandmother, Mary Ann Price of Sicily Island, Louisiana, and his grandfather, Reverend Harrison Thomas, Sr., of Gilbert, Louisiana.
Those left to cherish Harrison III's memories and celebrate his life include his parents, Amy and Harrison Thomas, Jr. (
Fort Worth, Texas); siblings, Amyra and Trinity (
Fort Worth, Texas); grandmother, Marjorie "Jean" Thomas Anderson (James) (Gilbert, Louisiana); grandfather, Lawrence Mathis (Wisner, Louisiana); great-grandfather, Joe Thomas (Gilbert, Louisiana); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and friends. He also leaves to cherish his godparents, the Ross family (Ronda, Sintelle, Zarayah, and Trey).
