Harry “Bud” T. Thurman, Jr., age 88, of Fort Mitchell, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023.  Bud was a proud alumni of Georgia Tech and never met a stranger. He loved meeting people and always had a big smile on his face. After retiring from A. C. Nielsen, he kept busy with the Kentucky Education Alliance and The Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center.  He developed a passion for art  and was excited to become a Master Gardener. Baker Hunt became such a big part of his life, they honored him by creating the Bud Thurman Youth Scholarship Award.  Many of his friends and family were lucky recipients of his artwork and his painted flower pots.  Bud was preceded in death by his loving wife, Courtney Thurman (nee Fain).  He is survived by his children, Mitch Thurman (Mary), Courtney Ann Stillwell, Jennifer Thurman-Wright, Chris Thurman; grandchildren, Melissa Thurman, Madeline Thurman, Casey Hurley (Dylan), Shelby Stillwell, Travis Stillwell, Kaitlin Lawless (Dylan), Sarah Wright and Alex Wright; great-grandchild, Charlie Hurley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike Ft. Wright, KY 41017) from 2:00 PM until the Funeral Service begins at 4:00 PM.  Memorial contributions are suggested in Memory of Bud Thurman, Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center, 620 Greenup Street, Covington, KY 41011.
