Harry M. Castro

Harry M. Castro, 74, of Richmond, Texas passed away on August 15, 2024. He was born on August 24, 1949 in Sugar Land, Texas to Victor and Maria Guadalupe (Martinez) Castro. Harry honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 35+ years as a mailman.
Harry was of the Catholic faith, attending St. John Fisher Catholic Church for a long period of time before starting to follow John Hagee Sermons on T.V. His hobbies included taking trips to the casinos to test his luck and spending time outdoors whether it was hunting or fishing. He was excellent behind the pit and was part of the Skinner Lane Gang BBQ Cook-Off Team. Harry and his wife enjoyed spending time together dancing and listening to music. He will be remembered as an amazing son, father, husband, grandfather, brother, a dedicated friend. His heart was made of pure gold, he was someone you could always count on. THE ROCK!
In addition to his parents, Victor & Maria Guadalupe Castro, Harry is preceded in death by his only nephew, Adam Rodriguez, Jr.
Survivors include wife, Mary Dolores Castro; his children, Marcus Castro and Samantha Castro and partner Clifford Evans; grandchildren, Alexia Nicole Castro and partner, Kevin Cisneros, Ti-Yonnie Renee Martinez and John Paul Ottino Martinez; great grandchildren, Joziah Uvalle, Jeremiah Ferrer and Ariella Ferrer; siblings, Victor Castro and wife, Maria; Jerry Castro and wife, Cynthia and Corina Castro Larson; additional family, Sister-in-law, Rosalie and John Lenihan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests starting at 4:00 p.m. followed by a service and military honors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
