HARRY J ECKMAN "Bud"

We have lost a GOOD man! That is the first and most important thing you need to know about Harry "Bud" Eckman. He would do anything for anyone, particularly his family. Barely out of his teenage years when he married, he raised three children that were not his own. His daughter Lisa soon joined this family; they wanted for nothing and they were one. His children grew up in his shadow and learned to care, to love, to be financially independent and to fix whatever complex thing he showed them. He'd show you again if you insisted, but you'd never hear the end of it. And you didn't tell him that you couldn't find the way somewhere after he took you there ONCE twenty years ago!

Bud had hyper-Dad humor. He could rattle off groaners in an instant, peppered throughout every conversation at times when you thought he wasn't listening, even in his waning days. Many were things you just couldn't/shouldn't share with others.

Bud was a GOOD man and his passing leaves a hole in the lives and hearts of those who loved him and whom he loved.

Harry J. Eckman was born 26 October 1938 in Columbus Ohio. He was a hardworking man that frequently had two jobs to make sure his family never lacked anything. He spent 45 years at COTA as an electrical mechanic.

His wife Pat and brothers, Don and Bob preceded him in death. He leaves behind to cherish his life and memory daughters, Lisa and Pat; son, Bob; grandchildren, Joey and Trisha and great grandsons Chase, Atticus and Zack.

A complete obituary will be posted once service details are finalized.
