Harry Georgiades

Harry Georgiades, 61, died on Monday June 16, 2025, with his loving family and friends by his side. He was born in Springfield MA to the late Gregory Georgiades and Mary Georgiades of Longmeadow MA, on July 3, 1963. Harry received his bachelors degree from Western New England College. He was very involved with St Lukes Greek Orthodox Church of East Longmeadow. Harry was on the Parish Council for many years, along with the Stewardship Committee and he helped restart the Outreach Committees. He was the senior usher in the Narthex for many years and carried the Epitaphio for Holy Friday. Harry was involved with the Facilities Committee and helped with the Taste of Greece annual festival. A hallmark of Harry's involvement was his devotion and love for the church. Harry was also involved in his business community. He spent his career in sales and most recently was Regional Sales Manager for Affordable Waste Solutions Inc. He served on various Committees for both his local chapter of The Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Clubs. Harry lived in Agawam MA. Harry was generous, warm and full of life to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Harry leaves behind his mother Mary Georgiades of Longmeadow MA, his sister Maria Mahoney and her husband Jack Mahoney of Lexington MA; his nephew and godson Jonathon Mahoney of Somerville MA. Family and friends are welcome to pay tribute as Harry lays in state on Friday June 20, 2025, at The Greek Orthodox Church of St. Luke, 400 Prospect Street, East Longmeadow MA. Viewing hours are 9:30am 10:30 am, immediately followed by funeral services. Burial will follow at Longmeadow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society or The Greek Orthodox Church of St. Luke.
