Harry Eugene Hilton, age 95 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024. He was born May 9, 1929 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky the son of the late Willard and Olive Hilton. Harry graduated from Crab Orchard High School, class of 1947. He served his country in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Sr. Airman. He had a career working for General Motors as a factory manufacturer. Harry was a man of great faith and was a member of Fairhaven Church. He Loved working in his flower gardens and took care of his yard. His hard work earned him a beautification award from Kettering for his yard. Harry also enjoyed growing vegetables, especially tomatoes, and he shared them with the neighborhood. He was the greatest neighbor, and always lent a helping hand by shoveling driveways and mowing his neighbor's yard. Harry was a great dad. He raised his children to be honest and generous and to love the Lord. Harry was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and, good friend and he will be deeply missed.
Harry is survived by his wife Eleanor Hilton; Daughters, Linda K. Hilton, and Lisa G. Hanson; Grandchildren, Joshua (Jessi), Heather, Benjamin, Naomi (Mike), David "Vincent", Shelbie (Ben), Laura, Steven; Great-grandchildren, Emma, Sarah, Erin, Luca; and by numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gail Hilton; his parents; Son, Steve Hilton; Brother, Charles Elvin Hilton, and Sisters, Mildred Bowling, and Eva Josephine Franz.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Fairmont Senior Living.
A greeting with the family will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1:30 pm at Fairhaven Church in the Schwam Chapel, 637 E.
