Harry "Pete" Lano, age 77, of Annandale, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Annandale Care Center.
Visitation will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale, followed by a Committal Service at 5:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale. Following the burial, a Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Lampi Auction in Annandale.
Harry August Lano, Jr. was born April 25, 1946, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Harry and Josephine (Stifter) Lano. He grew up in Annandale, along with his sister. Pete was a graduate of Annandale High School. He was united in marriage to Linda Gille, and they later divorced. Pete worked as a heavy equipment operator with IUOE Local 49, and later worked for Mid-Minnesota Hot Mix. Pete was a big sports fan, he loved to follow all the local Annandale Cardinal teams. Pete enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and coffee time with the guys.
Pete is survived by his children, Steve (Shelley) of South Haven, and Stacie (Stacy) Schraut of Rice; 4 grandchildren, Parker and Carter Lano, Molly and Zach Schraut; sister, Mary Schad of Melrose; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Jospehine Lano; and brother-in-law, Bernie Schad.
